Edna
We love Chance's Canine Club! I was so excited when Alexx announced she would be running a dog adventure camp! Alexx has been my go to dog sitter for years and I was so happy that she would be offering an option to accommodate my older senior gal, Edna. Edna is 9.5 with some health issues and it's hard to find daycare/camps designed for slower paced dogs. Alexx was so thoughtful in her creation of Smudge's Social to offer an option for senior dogs like Edna. Now Edna gets to join in on the fun of adventure camp, but at a pace she can maintain with similar energy level friends. Edna has developed some separation anxiety over the last few months with changes in my home. Since she started going to Smudge's Social, her anxiety has decreased and her happiness has increased! Edna comes home from camp happy, tired, and with better manners. Skyla
Skyla is a four year old Siberian husky. I was dealing with her having separation anxiety, destroying furniture, and not getting the higher level exercise and attention she needed to stop these behaviors. Since starting with Alexx she is much calmer, hasn't destroyed anything at home, is a better listener and responds to commands. This is by far the best recipe for Skyla's high energy needs. She loves to go to camp, waits by the door for Alexx to get her, and [camp] has "saved my relationship" with my dog as my vet puts it! The freedom of being out and about all morning and the structure Alexx sets with the dogs goes above and beyond what other facilities could provide. Dolly
Chance's Canine Club is the best thing that has ever happened for our loving, energetic rescue, 2+ year old Dolly. Since starting camp about 2 months ago, I have seen a vast improvement in obedience. Dolly listens better and is much calmer in the car. Dolly comes back each time from camp, totally pooped out and basically sleeps the afternoon away. I love that during inclement weather, Alexx wipes her down with the towel I leave so she doesn't mess up the house. Alexx is a true professional and her passion for what she does is obvious and we are so grateful to have found Alexx and Chance’s Canine Club! --Linda, camp client
Hank
There is nothing Hank loves more than being off leash in the woods and having the freedom to explore. At Chance’s Canine Club, he gets to do just that! Not only does my pup come home happy and tired, but Alexx also teaches him about socializing and good pack behavior. He’s learned so much about car manners and more importantly how to calm down and focus. I really can’t say enough good things about Alexx and camp. Alexx provides a ton of feedback about your dog, specifically where more energy should be focused during training. She lets me know when he’s been picked up and dropped off, and posts videos of their adventures, which I jealously watch while at work. Porter
Chance's Canine Club has been a dream come true for our little guy, Porter. He gets to run and hike with Alexx and the pack and comes home tired and happy. The pick up and drop off makes it absolutely full service. I love getting updates from Alexx about adventures on the trail. He gets so much out of this compared to a traditional daycare setting. Kylo
For almost two years, Alexx has been my most trusted and dependable dog sitter for our lab mix Kylo. She is certainly the first person I contact and who I trust the most with Kylo. Alexx and her family are a perfect fit for any dog and dog owner looking for someone to treat their pet as their own. It is comforting knowing Kylo is with someone that loves him as we do and we can trust her and her family with him any time we are away and they are available to have him. Whenever I am going out of town and reach out to find out her availability, the response is extremely prompt. Alexx does an excellent job caring for Zoe -- she gives her tons of exercise and attention and shares regular updates with pictures of all their fun activities. Alexx is truly a dog lover.
